How this works: we place checkpoints along straight lines between your stops (not turn-by-turn roads), estimate road miles at about 1.2× the straight-line distance, and assume an average of 55 mph of driving, not counting breaks. Each checkpoint uses the official NWS hourly forecast for the hour you're expected there; NWS hourly forecasts reach about 6–7 days out. Always check official alerts before you leave and along the way.
