Rain and snow totals by town
How much actually fell, measured in rain gauges across La Porte County by CoCoRaHS volunteers and National Weather Service co-op observers. Real readings only: a day with no report says “no report,” never zero.

Where these numbers come from
Each number is one observer’s gauge reading for the 24 hours ending at their daily reading time, usually about 7 a.m. (shown under each gauge). So “Tuesday” mostly means Monday morning to Tuesday morning. “Trace” means a little, too little to measure. Totals add up only the days with a report and say how many days that was.
Sources: CoCoRaHS (Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow Network) volunteers and NWS cooperative observers, from the Iowa Environmental Mesonet (Iowa State University). The page says when they were last checked. Reports are as sent and can be corrected later. Want to help? CoCoRaHS is free to join and La Porte County can use more gauges. Storm-by-storm snow totals from the Weather Service are on snow totals; storm damage reports on the storm reports map.
